Become a "Dance Forcer"

Forcher's Dance Force is an exciting and fun opportunity to be part of a competitive dance team that also exists simply for the joy of performing. In addition to a minimum of one DFW area competition per year, Dance Force also performs many free shows throughout the dance season (September through June), such as City of Irving Main Street Event, City of Irving Christmas Tree lighting, Irving Art Center Holiday Open House, Six Flags Holiday in the Park, Euless' Arbor Daze and charity shows at local nursing homes. Plus we have a yearly holiday gift exchange (Secret Santa) and more! Come join the fun!
There are yearly auditions to become a part of Forcher's Dance Force (FDF). Interested dancers must be intermediate level or above and age 7+. Dancers must be willing to take both jazz and ballet at Forcher's Dance Center while a part of our team.
Auditions are free of charge and usually conducted in May of each year. Auditions are only open to current students of Forcher's Dance Center, but the length of time a dancer has been a student at the studio does not determine their acceptance to the team.

Dance Force classes are an additional monthly tuition above regular dance classes. Other costs throughout the dance year, associated with FDF, are costume fees for competition fees. These can be variable, but average around $55 per dance. Competition fees are usually limited to one convention/competition per season and average around $200 per dancer plus an average of $45 per dance they are in. Rates are higher for solos, duos and trios. These costs are determined solely by the competition/convention we choose to go to and Forcher's has no control over it. Yearly, we perform at Six Flags during the Holiday in the Park and dancers must attend (parents and other family may also attend at the discounted price) and are offered admission at a discounted price of usually around $25. Dance Force gear is available (shirts, hoodies, jackets, pants and bags) at various costs ($20-45 depending on the item), but only t-shirts and hoodies are a required purchase. Additionally, travel costs associated with getting to venues where we perform.
FDF does various fundraising throughout the dance year and always accepts opportunities for us to fundraise. Because we are a part of a for-profit company (the dance studio), we are NOT a non-profit organization and therefore cannot participate in fundraisers for such organizations.
